- Open Norton Antivirus 2006
- Click on the Options button at the top
- Click on Antivirus in the menu
- Click on Email on the left
- Uncheck Scan Outgoing Email Server on the right
- Click OK
- For the 'Duration' choose Permanently
- Click OK
- Clock Norton Antivirus 2006
