Wireless Troubleshooting - Sharing The Internet

  • Are you sharing your Internet with your neighbors?
    - If you are using a wireless router you will need to 'encrypt' (password protect) your router so your neighbors can't 'borrow' your connection.
    - You are liable for your Internet connection so if your neighbors are downloading/sharing copyright material using your connection you will be held accountable if we receive a copyright infringement notice.

    - For more information on how to encrypt your router:
    - Visit the router's manufacture website (Netgear / Linksys / Belkin / D-Link)
    - Visit the Support section and look up the Model # of your router (This is normally on the bottom of the router)
    - You will see links for Quick Setup Guides / Manuals / and specific links on setting up the wireless encryption
    - CSInet can also assist in setting up your router over the phone for a $40 setup fee.
